Say Pepsi… For those who think Young – The Pepsi Generation…     
If you are interested in branding, then am sure you must have noticed the new logo of Pepsi. If not, comfort your eyes with the new look of our much predominated brand, Pepsi.
The new logo of the brand seems to have brought the image of Pepsi into the 21st century but has met with some impetuous criticism from the design community. Some are having an opinion that the new logo is of reference to the recent Barack Obama electoral campaign, while others claim to see the gut of an obese man, bulging over his jeans. Quite a subtle way of getting the attention of the target audience – must say…
It is bound to come in anybody’s mind if the logo is been observed further. It reminds of the famous competition between Pepsi and their rival, Coca-Cola. Everybody knows that red is the main corporate color of coca-cola, and blue is that of Pepsi. But the new logo is found to look like a pie chart representing the market share of the two soft drink giants, with Coca-Cola being on the top, and Pepsi falling slightly behind.
